12 angry men movie colorized.

Post by jerryk25 »

probably old news. . .but I'd post it here
link to video clip
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5VEm7RB1o4

not the whole movie, just 10 minutes.
knife image at timestamp 2:18 / 10:11
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

something about the image tripped a smell memory in me.
I remember in high school, ordering a brand new stiletto lockback folders.
Coming home and opening the box. . .
The smell of the new knives.
An 13 inch in plastic, and a 11 inch in horn.
I remember the 13 inch was supposed to be bayonet/horn/nickel. . .like the 11 incher
But the 13 I got was a plastic clip point. . .Nice. . .But not a bayonet point.

That had to be around 1967 or so. . . .

Pittsburgh was behind the times in everything by about 8 to10 years.
I suppose the 11 inch Horn was old stock,
or maybe plastic scales were just cheaper to make without milling a scale out.
Maybe the real horn was reserved for the automatics sold to other countries.

i just remember smelling the aroma, opening the box.

That movie always bothered me. In a real jury deliberation, the "evidence" supplied by Mr. Fonda's character would have resulted in a mistrial with a contempt of court charge for that person. Add to that the cost of refinishing the table....
