Divers knife

Post by gravknife »

Does anybody have any of theee old divers knives from the ww2 period or before, love to see your examples if you have them as the US made some beauties.

This example of mine is by Siebe and Gorman .It is a ww2 Navy diver knife ,double edged carbon blade with a thickened tip for probing objects underwter. .It has a ribbed bakelite handle for grip ,the earlier handles were wood .
Sheath is made of phosphour bronze and is pretty heavy to help weigh the suit down I surmise.
.
Well made knives wish I had the helmet to go with it ,make a nice display.
