Looking for advice on Everyday working (Auto) blade

Post by Autominded »

Greetings all,
I'm new to the blade craze and I happen to like autos very much. I'm looking for advice on an 'everyday use' auto. Any suggestions?

Leverlocks from SKM fit the bill nicely. So does the Boker Magnum.

depends on budget and what your definition of every day use is.
But like jarvis said, the leverlocks of skm are quite nice edc and you can find them on there site or look on bladeauction.com or theknifeauction.com or pm me if you have any questions.
Welcom to the forum, strap in, hold on, it goes pretty fast around here sometimes. :D
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

welcome to the forum, A good EDC switch, out of about 10 in my
EDC rack, the Benchmade auto axis 5000 has been finding it's
way into my pocket on a regular basis. I love it. Not the fastest
or the biggest, but a good solid knife.

A big one which is a workhorse is a BM Reflex 2000. But if you want a tank that is almost equal to afixed blade then check out the MT LCC D/A or manual. Topps also makes one hell of a heavy duty auto and Strider Knives is also a contender.

For a smaller size the Massaro 7" is a great "Gentlemans" Knife. Very solid, quite quick, doesn't take up much room, and can do a lot of everyday chores. For a medium size if you can find a Woodard Fer-De-Lance it is awesome. Medium-large the Gerber/Emerson is nice. Large size
the Randall King Swift Striker is very nice. There are really many other choices also but these ones are frequently overlooked. [Even though I sell knives I have none of these in stock so it's as close as I can get to an un-biased opinion].
