A site i found when looking for a knife

Post by leighdog »

Does anyone know if www.dellsmart.com is the same as autoknife.com? It looks familiar

You must be mistaken. The very first sentence on the website declares: "We have been in business for several years, promising edged knife products at reasonable and cheap pricing."

Don't tell me they are being untruthful.

Darned if they don't look as if they are selling $10 knives at "scalpers" prices. To the devil with that.

$200 for a 9 inch acrylic production-run bayo? either this guy has seriously ripped off a lot of people or he made a bunch of fake "out of stock" listings to make it look like his stuff is going fast...

I've been mistaken lots of times, but not this time.

I saw that site recently too, I also thought it had an "autoknife.com" vibe about it, the layouts and design style looked similar.

Different guy. Autoknife buys a lot of stuff from him, and I suspect the same guy did his web site. Same kind of attitude.
We went round and round over him selling fake Leverlettos, but he finally stopped.
He and the autoknife guy have something going. I think they may be dating.

That site has been around a long time and yes they're a bit over priced.

Guy's name is Charles Dellavecchia. He's friends with a certain Jon Benson ("JB") on Facebook. Not a coincidence.

Sorry to hear you had to go a few rounds with JB over fake Leverlettos, Bill. That must have been a real circus to deal with. I would like to think he stopped selling them but honestly have a tough time believing any of the ones that are still for sale on his site are real after he went out of his way to flame you on his bottish/shill forum...

I see the dellsmart website refers to Benchmade as "Bitchmade" in promoting the modded chinese benchmade clones (FU42, etc.) they sell for exorbitant prices. whatever, I just got a knife back from Benchmade and they have some of the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. They repaired, tuned, and sharpened my knife for free--all this on a knife that's been out of production for several years. I wonder what kind of customer service dellsmart offers on those chinese copies? FU is probably about right.

Fair warning, without a condom that could be dangerous! :P
