I posted this info elsewhere before, but my buddy Mike has a really cool blog about puukos with lots of pictures and some step-by-step's,etc. by some amazing puukkoseppäs.

Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.

At first I thought Al and myself were the only ones that loved the Finnish Puukko.
They are made of the finest and purist iron ore and are always the sharpest of blades.

The Finnish Puukko is one of the finest and oldest designs in current production today.
Perhaps not the most beautiful knife but I would sacrifice some of my best to own a vintage Puukko from the 20' or 30's.
Love to have a "wolves head" or "horse head" from the 20's. Stacked leather or birch.
