My Dad's knife.
Just got back from England after my Pa's funeral, he had a love for guns and knives
Brought this one back with me - my Grandmother bought it for my Dad when he was 17 (1945)
It was made in Sheffield which is 10 miles from where we live in the UK, made by J. Nowill and sons.
two of the blades have the makers mark and the 3rd blade has a crossed key marking, trying to find info on this one, any help would be great.
My Pa was a coal miner and jack of all trades - he could make or fix anything!
RIP.
Rob.
Sorry for the big pics, - too dumb to resize !

It is stories and photos such as this that makes me proud to be a knife collector.
So sorry for your loss JAGMAN
I will see what I can find out about these knives. I know a little bit about Sheffield knives.

Hi Rob,
Very sorry to hear of your loss. It is comforting to have something that your father used, a tangible connection.
Also great to see you back.

Re: My Dad's knife.
I just found this post,sorry for the loss of ya dad Rob. monday was the 6th anniversary of my dads passing. that is a great old knife ,well made pretty horn scales that just need a little TLC to be gorgous .may i suggest just a light restorative cleaning with a soft cloth and q-tips maybe a flush out with wd-40 and then just dry it well and wax the scales to stop any drying out from continuing and then place it in a spot of honor so that you can enjoy it forever I have my dads old pocketknife and it is precious to me also .
I am the KING of LATAMA collectors HAHAHAHAHAHAHA {EVIL LAUGH}
