I was making a neck sheath for an old EDC i had the Kersaw Blur and when i tried on i got a surprise...
i am guessing its the open assist combined with the way the thumb stud is cut
has it happened to any of you with other knives?

How does that work? Is it a wave opening knife?

it is not a wave it ha an assist opening system as it called...you start opening it with the thumb stud and it snaps open the rest of the way...i am guessing it happens by how tight is the kydex around the stud....dark2023 wrote:How does that work? Is it a wave opening knife?

Thats really cool....you could almost darn near patent that! I haven't seen any knives that have that feature. Makes ALOT of sense if you ask me. Since a knife carrier like that is only for defense it would serve it well to come out open like that.
