An ambitious folder

Post by molletta »

I have projected a folder.
An ambitious folder. It have some technological solutions.

Frame lock with Rotoblock safety block;
One piece titanium 6Al4V handle, tool steel blade for better cutting ability.

Three protos are made from Lionsteel.
Do you think that this knife can be produced?

I own several Lion Steel knives and they are EXCELLENT :!:
The steel specs. on this one are a "tool steel" and not stainless  8) :!:
A GREAT choice :!:
It appears to be an AWESOME knife :D
But, in the present economy 295 E is probably too expensive for most people :(

Well, the 195 if ordering before Jan 20 don't seem that bad for such a quality knife... IMHO.

VERY true
Forgive an old dyslexic guy for not seeing the 195
BUT, even that is still a LOT of money in these tough economic times
Let's see what other members think

You could tell better than I could  But, my guess would be a CNC machining center
But a blade made of "real steel" [instead of stainless] is what I like 8) :D :!: :!: :!:
The Violet handle looks both elegant and "businesslike"

Wow that looks like an awesome knife. Though i am hesitant to spend that much on a blade without ever owning or seeing another knife the company has produced. But if vagrant says they are of high standards then i can go with that ;)

I will be interested in getting this knife. Im gonna start saving my pennies until the 20th and keep an eye out for how much interest there is :)

I imported and sold about a dozen +/- of the "Outdoor 7" [sold by AB/SKM, made by Lion Steel]. I sold several to other members of this forum. Hopefully some of them will "chime in" with their opinion of those
MY opinion was they were "almost German quality" at nowhere near German price
And this looks like a much more sophisticated/hi-tec knife :!:

Here are the first pictures of the definitive knife.

It will be shipped inside a box made of wood.

There will be a tool provided with it, which gives you the possibility to attach of remove to clip. The clip is reversible, so you can choose whether you mount it on the front or the back of the knife.

The tool will also be able to change the smoothness of opening/closing the blade by adjusting the pivot screw.
And it is also usefull when you want to clean the knife thoroughly.
