Japanese blade forging course

Hello everyone!

If you have ever been interested in learning the basic skills involved in forging a Japanese sword, now is your chance!

A basic forging course will be held near Guelph, Ontario this July 21-25. Participants in this course will learn, through hands-on instruction, the techniques of forging a san-mai blade as they construct a Japanese knife (tanto). All the steps in forging a knife are applicable to larger blades.
