Any love for the Buck 124 "Frontiersman"?

You know the one. That's right, it had a starring role in the world famous Nocona Boot magazine advertisement.

I have been looking at this knife with "blade lust" in my eyes.

I have a few of the 124s. Nice knife! The 119 and 120 are great too!

Long story: My new brother in law and my sister went shopping for a hunting knife. He was a brand new hunter and was planning to hunt deer with my father and I. He proudly displayed his knife and we both said "Thats nice". Three weeks later I put him in a nice spot to ambush a deer coming to water. I leave and about 2 hours later I hear one shot. If figure he can handle it so I keep circling around hoping for something to come my way. Probably and hour and a half later I I near him and I can hear him calling. I answer and say I will be there in just a few minutes. He is standing over the deer with empty hands. He tells me the Buck is too big and now he has lost the little Opinel I had given him in the gut pile....
