Don't know if this is the best section to ask, so Mods feel free to move to appropriate section. This place has been very helpful with my first knife info, thought I would ask about this one. Have no idea how old it is. From other pictures of CASE knives I've seen , the silver logo seems to be offset, while this one is more centered. There's a CASE marking on the longer blade and a marking I can't make out on the short (it looks to be broken off but really shows no visible signs of a break...could've been filed down to be used as a screwdriver?) The marking looks to be an oval case logo with numbers these old eyes can't quite make out do to wear / corrosion

Thanks again for the assist.

Re: Info on old Case folder requested
With the help of my son's eyes and the WD-40 oil....I was able to make out BRADFORD stamped under CASE on the full blade. On the reverse of the blade is a number...quite hard to make out, but it seems to be 06230 1/2
Hope this helps.

Even the large blade has been broken and reground
Estimate as to age '40s - '60s.

Ben,
That's an old knife. That tang stamp was used up to 1920 according to American premium guide to knives and Razors by Jim Sargent.

A MUCH better answer than mine but, both blades are still broken
Someone, must have, really liked the knife, to hang on to it and not "circular file" it

It also looks like there's an extra scale pin on it and I don't think that bail is original.
Here's an old Ebay auction for one that's in a little better condition: http://cgi.ebay.ph/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0326429846
and pics of a different one from a different forum: https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... 30&start=0
Looks like maybe that was a good looking knife at some point in the past
