M&P = Military & Police. Smith & Wesson has been using it on a variety of guns over the years as a model designation. Think it was first used on double action .38 special revolvers in early 1900's.

Very nice! I got a model 64 (the SS version of the model 10) from SOG (Southern Ohio Gun) a few yrs ago & love it! Unfortunately they went out of business last yr. They were a good place to deal w/.

Used to buy lots of ak ammo from them back in the day, $99 for 1200 rounds steel core. If I only knew then what I know now
