Hey everyone-
Nice forum you have here. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and I'm going about this kind of backwards... I've always liked knives and only have a few. Always wanted a decent auto since I was a kid growing up in NYC, used to have a cheap manual stilleto that got confiscated at HS... Had one cheap OTF job, don't remember what even happened to it. Now in my old age, I have the bug again. Kind of going about it backwards, just picked up a GATCO professional sharpening system hoping to put the edge back on some hunting broadheads, but figured, I got the sharpener, might as well get some knives to go with it! Checked out your good list and placed an order for a couple of cheap autos, a stiletto and some other budget job just to see if you can really get them, I always thought they were illegal until I found this site! Now I have 2 autos and just bought a couple of gerber paraframes (the mini and the paraframe 1 for EDC, all 4 within a week or 2), and will probably be buying more. Bali's look interesting... Thanks for all the great info here!

Thanks for the welcome. Jerr, you may have seen the name before...I borrowed it from the high tech yuppy toy store, thought it was an ok handle for a knife forum. I tend to keep myself pretty broke between the family and my hobbies, but I've got a couple of knives in mind that might just have to make it to my small collection just because...
