Hello.
I'm Jack and I live in The Netherlands.
I'm 42 years old. Most of my knifes are ordinary pocketknives, automatics and a few otf's nothing really special but I like them anyway.
I've been searching for some Italian stilettos for a while now and that's how I came across this forum. The information I got the last few weeks here just from reading is mind blowing and it really triggered something inside me. So yesterday I ordered my first 11" classic switch from Frank Beltrame. I know it's nothing special but it's a start. Can't wait for it to arrive. Thanks for letting me join Talkblade.

p.s sorry if my English is a bit bad. To talk in English is a lot easier than writing in English

Welcome aboard! I think you will enjoy your Italian stiletto. Great traditional design and Frank is one of the masters. Look forward to pictures...

Firstly thank you all for your kind words and making me feel welcome.

As I mentioned in my first post I ordered an 11" classic.
The next day I thought I would treat myself and at the same address that I ordered the 11" I ordered a 13" classic and also a 11" swingaurd.
I was pretty excited as I'm sure you all can imagine.
Until yesterday, they send me an email to tell me that non
of the knives that I ordered where available and are not going to be available this year. ☹️
I know there are a lot of websites in America that have these knives in stock but the shipping costs that I saw were really high,so it made more sense for me to order them in Europe and in one store.
Now I'm on the surge again,if anyone can help me too a good address in Europe that would be great.
I ordered mine and the Frank Beltrame website.

Thanks again and a happy thanksgiving to you all.

Welcome to the insanity.

I've dealt with the KnifeShop referred to by JerrBear and have had good responses from them so I'll add my recommendation that you give them a try. Their pricing seems to be pretty much in line with the market in general.

It appears that the Italian makers are abandoning the direct sales approach. It makes sense as the overhead of managing this sales channel reduces or eliminates profit. Much simpler to sell to companies who specialize in sales, that's what they do...

Yes...i finally got my knives.
11" F.Beltrame Light horn flat grind.
11" Swingaurd F.Beltrame Buffalo horn bayonet.
13" AKC Buffalo horn bayonet.

I know that they are really basic knives but I
have to start somewhere 8)

Be very careful about approaching the collection of knives. It can turn around and bite you if you're not careful. :D
I started just under two years ago with a 9" Frank Beltrame swivel bolster and wasn't paying attention to it and it grew somewhat. The growth has slowed down somewhat but the bug is still there.
If you can get to it here's a link to some photos of the current state of the illness.

Again, proceed with caution.

Djeez....that's an impressive collection.
Thank you for the link,i enjoyed looking at all of your knives. Beautiful knives you got there.
I especially like the 13" picklocks and your collection
of swingers.
Thank you for your advice, I'm sure that it will take me a a lot more time to build a decent collection.
