Please, sign me up; my various boxes always seem to be full, and I've yet to find a method of archiving the messages that doesn't involve a lot of heavy handed "saving as". I hate saving as.

Are you really gonna make me post 100 times!??
I don't know enough about knives to throw my 2 cents in 100 times, lol
I'll bet by the time I post my 85th post, you will break down and give me an email address already, that or ban me for being annoying ;)

(Sorry for the drift, this is important.)

Jody, you should never feel this way, on the topic of knives or any other subject. I think the dirty little secret is most people don't know as much as they claim.

Like any other pursuit, you find knowledge by seeking out experts, and books and asking numerous questions. I have been around knives in some form for just short of five decades--but only comfortable in two areas. There is no doubt in my mind that you know more about some facet of knives, collecting, sharpening and/or appraisal than I do.

You should see my coffee table, it has numerous Japanese history books. The reality of the situation is that cutlers and polishers from the 12th and 13th centuries knew lots more about edges than modern men. It's humbling.

Thank you Tourist :D
That was one thing I noticed about this forum right away, everyone seems really nice and trying to help each other learn rather that trying to one up each other like you see on other forums.

I also like the kidding and the humor I see here, you can tell everyone is good natured and friendly.
I will learn a lot from you guys.

Jody :)
