Ah! Hahaha!!! Yes, now that I know it is a photomod, I can see it! Good! I like that blade; in fact, one of my Parkers is like that one (I don't know what that particular style is called - Turkish?).Milu wrote:No cry! Photoshop adds and photoshop takes away
I like to figure things out mechanically...but without looking at one, it's difficult to understand how that coil spring fires the blade...some kind of cantilever setup???
They are all different, the pics at SG, but one thing they all have in common is a general resemblance to the profile of the AK...and the clumsy, cluttered look...

Basically the spring pulls the blade open. It locks open with a stud on the blade tang going into a sort of tab - similar to an Italian stiletto in principle.
Now we either need to get back on topic or Vagrant is going to have to get some of these in

I think I see...when closed, the spring is stretched, not compressed??? And when open, the spring is more-or-less "loose"???Milu wrote:Basically the spring pulls the blade open. It locks open with a stud on the blade tang going into a sort of tab - similar to an Italian stiletto in principle.
Kind of bass-ackwards... ...but interesting...
I'll take one! Maybe more...(depends on pricing)......or Vagrant is going to have to get some of these in...
