***SOLD*** $$$ DROP >> New Walt's 11" Swinguard Honey Blonde Half Grind Stiletto

Post by huckles »

***SOLD***

Hi Folks:
Here is a New Walt's 11" Swinguard Honey Blonde Half Grind Stiletto. Not the same scales as the French Horn Tip you may have seen listed elsewhere. The honey is very translucent [check out the pins in the last photo]. The knife is built upon a 5mm back spring and blade is a 440C stainless steel half grind. The knife also has solid nickel silver bolsters and the tang is stamped with the classic Latama over Italy and Walt's stylized cat. It feels great to fire a 5mm new issue that is also a "swingin' blonde". PM me for additional information.

$450 TYD [$75 less than what I paid]

Beautiful knife and amazing horn. I have to ask why you're selling it as they just came out and for a loss?

I’m wondering the same thing .. Walts are notorious for their flaws. Is there anything wrong with the knife that you’ve noticed?

Folks:
There is nothing wrong with the knife. It is as perfect as a hand crafted knife can be. My greedy ass simply overspent. I could not resist purchasing a gorgeous picklock (pictures will be posted in "Blade Pictures") this afternoon. So my loss is your gain. I paid $525 so I simply knocked off $25 as an incentive.

Same thing happened to me. I spoke to Walt and he sent me pictures of the swinguard. I ordered it and the next day he had another batch of flatguard and swivel bolsters on his site. I am happy with the swinguard I got but I may have waited if I knew Flatguards were coming out the next day.

Mike, I have many Walts knives. There was one batch of 9” a couple years ago that had peeking issues. Other than that I have had 2 knives from Walt that had any issues. Walt did not hesitate to replace or refund me on both knives.

wow unreal what these sell for 500 bucks each? do they even have a edge (sharpened) ? why soooooo much ? the Renzo Pascotto / AGA 13" swinguards Batwing swings etc only sold for 300 - 375 each what makes these so special that they sell for 500 each i could see 250-300 but 500 wow lol , . walter usually buys or has made 300 knives per run at 500 dollars each im sure he will have them for awhile lol

he probably figures he can get away with it because AGA has been too preoccupied for 3 years making mikov ripoffs and putting different funky bolsters on the same slimline leverlocks everybody already has and NOT making picklocks, batwings etc that everyone's been wanting. 10inch picklocks go for 400+ second hand nowadays.

Now, don't get me wrong - I really like AGA and I understand what they're doing - being agile - but no company should abandon products that made them famous.

AGA makes knives the old way (like they should) with thick liners 1.2mm, D-stamped liners old style safety nickel/silver buttons safety caps and guards , if AGA makes a 11" swing it will blow these away guaranteed , AGA just like any company makes and sells products that sell good and honestly picklocks swinguards etc dont sell fast so money is put into products that sell fast and make good profit. dont give up on AGA they didnt abandon the swinguards batswings picklocks etc they are just not in production right now , AGA is always coming out with new automatic knives i think they have turned out more different designs than any other italian company in history , man dont understand if they were going all the way with these 11" swings why not d-stamped liners old style safety and nickel/silver button and safety i guess i will have to wait for what i want .

I hope you're right - perhaps the logic is that if they wait long enough, the demand will be so high that slow-moving picklocks batswingers etc will get snapped up faster than normal (no pun intended)
