FES Rostfrei and C.Jul Herbertz

Post by tanto »

I recently traded few knives and got some pieces that dont fit my collection.

First one is FES Rostfrei - the knife is not in very good shape. The scales are made of some kind of black plastic, the back part of it is broken where the backpin is located. The bolsters are bit scratched. Surprisingly the blade is in very good shape, fires and locks well. It has visible up/down play and when closed it is not fully covered by the liners. I would say it can be good project knife for someone, who is willing to play with it. Open 18.5 cm, blade 8 cm. Blade material unknown. You can compare the size with Leverletto. Price 39.00 USD + shipping

The second one is C.Jul Herbertz swivel bolster switchblade. The knife is IMO in quite a good shape for it age (70s?). The scales are made of black plastic - looks like bakelite. The side panels are checkered. The safety works OK, the knife fires hard and locks safe. Bolster works fine as well. The blade is a bit scratched but still OK. Solid lockup but slight side to side blade play. OAL is 21cm, blade 8.8 cm, blade thickness 3 mm. The knife is built very well, realy heavy duty switchblade. Price 99.00 USD + shipping

BTW if my asking prices are totally wrong (I am no expert) just let me know. Thanks!
