Jay Blade,
It is, IMHO, comparable to a Schrade or Boker. Middle of the road, so to speak. It has a more than sufficient "snap" upon opening but it is not an "overbearing" one like the 2 spring Mikov. Would be a simple matter to replace it with a heavy duty coil but I don't feel it needs it.

I should have a couple more in about a week. My last parcel was lost for almost three weeks but finally arrived yesterday... but have already been spoken for.
