11"Abalone- AGA 70th Anniversary picklock--SOLD

Hey guys got a 11" AGA Campolin 70th anniversary picklock to sell , this is the more rare Abalone pearl handles model , nickel-silver bolsters , brass liners and pins , stainless button and safety , straight and tight all around with good kick , bayonet blade with ( AGA CAMPOLIN Maniago -Italy) on front and (1947-2017) on back . knife has been SOLD

Is abalone fragile, or is it as durable as horn or jigged bone?

hey fishtal Abalone is just like genuine or real Mother of Pearl so they are basicly "display case" knives. me personally i like real/genuine MOP over Abalone but Abalone is cool and Abalone is actually more expensive than real MOP .

As I understand it both Abalone and MOP are very delicate and are usually laminated to a stronger substrate to they can be worked and handled.

does it have a 5mm (thick) blade

Believe they are 4mm blades. Very nice knife for the money. NS Bolsters. Can't go wrong. Metalgod is well known and respected.
