Well they are definitely OTF, and I've never seen an assisted OTF, only side kickers. The guy that runs this site occasionally posts really bad descriptions, so I guess anything is possible.sammy the blade wrote:Aren't these assisted opening?

It's assisted! The lever is at the bottom when the blade is in. I had a schrade that was similar but as stated I've been wrong before.

After looking closer it is a little different than the schrade I had but I do believe they are advertised as assisted openers. Interested in seeing your comment on it.

These are "assisted openers" just like my Schrade. They have put the retracting stud atop the handle instead of the side. If I were to purchase one of these, I would prefer the straight stiletto/spear blade. These knives are made with the fine Taylor Cutlery AUS-8 steel as my Schrade. These will be great knives and should carry well.
