Two barrel knives!

Post by Simeon »

Well, these are not switchblades.
In fact very slow to open and close. And two hands are required
But (very) old and (somewhere from 1800 end - 1900 start) cool blades anyway.

The question is about two (larger and smaller) so called barrel knives.
Sorry, I lost ruler with inches - but 1 inch = 2,54 cm as known.

Both have been used (and blades have been sharpened), but they are in full working order no matter of what.
Blades (and handles) have no chips or cracks etc.

Blades are made on carbon steel, body is brass and handles are wood.

Bigger one has blade stamp "Iernbolaget Eskilstuna Sweden" (in fact that is "Jernbolaget")
Brass sideplate has stamping "Eskilstuna Sweden" and vertically in front of it initials "A.J.W"

Smaller one has brass stamp "Joh.Enqström Eskilstuna Sweden" and the other liner initials "J B" and numbers (year I pressume) "1 8 7 4" and arrow figure splitting these into two halves. (I wonder did this make any sense? )

Anyway, these rare oldies are looking for a better home.

The bigger one is 90 USD.
Smaller one is 70 USD.
The prices include Paypal fee!

Shipping is 10 USD, insured 15 USD.
