Seems like the cost of these knives has grown much faster than inflation.
Then there is the weakness in the Euro that spurred the Swiss to decouple their Frank. After that the Euro fell even more against the major world currencies, USD included. Are the price lists updated to reflect that?

I have not changed prices in more than two years. Mikov increased the prices by 10% in July 2014, my prices remained the same.

still available (some sold + added new ones)
Re: 8 customized Mikovs available
David I Love the looks of the bone without bottom bolster, very nice. Wish I had a little extra cash or I would buy that beauty.
Re: 8 customized Mikovs available
I love these and I still love my turkish walnut mikov with a beautiful fileworked blade and backspring that I got many years ago in a similar sale.
I did however want to mention that anyone looking to buy one of these should know they are handmade and therefore may have small imperfections (such as the pins not being ground quite flush with the scales or very other minor cosmetic things), that being said, these are quite tough and the replaceable leaf springs is a huge step forward in knife design.
I honestly dont see why more makers done use a similar system.
Springs do break sometimes but thank god the makers of the Mikov thought that out, I love being able to fix it in all of 2 minutes, at home no less, instead of having to send my knife off to someone who can fully disassemble it just to replace a simple part.

Re: 8 customized Mikovs available
These are actually built by my friend (because Mikov does not use bone or different kinds of wood for scales) and we try to keep the imperfections to minimum. You can easily recognize them by engraved pivot pin (a small bonus)
David
As for the pins not being flush with the scales - well they are not and are not meant to be flush. On standard autos (not damascus or RWL34) none of the pins should be flush. Only the damascus + RWL knives have them flush and that is because the scales are slightly more rounded and more material is removed - including the pins.

Mine does not have an engraved pin and may not be representative of the workmanship on these specific knives.

Those are nice! I found one store that had Mikovs when I was in Prague last month and it was closed.
