I watched a repair video on Youtube fixing a similar knife. The coilspring looked like it had been taken from an old windup alarm clock, and the firing mechanism was the Flylock design, but so simple! On the button side, hidden under a hollow bolster was a disc of metal about quarter inch thick, held against the blade with two pins, and the slot ground into it. It saved the trouble of grinding the blade itself, and was amazingly simple, like do it in your garage with a home shop lathe kind of simple. It speaks to the ingenuity of folks with basic tools at hand.
