Post by Bama »

Has anyone seen the new Ruger SR-22? It is a really cool looking .22 assult rifle (don't really think of .22 in assult rifle). :D

Haven't seen one yet but, EVERYONE is making .22 "assault rifles" these days
These WILL be SHOT [at targets and for plinking] far more than larger calibers

The latest American Rifleman has a several page spread on these. Being rim fire, they skirt the CA "Ugly Gun" laws, all except the 10 rd mag business.

Yeah, American Rifleman is where I saw them. Some really cool looking guns. The price in American Rifleman were supper inflated as to what is on the gun auction sites and the Cheaper than Dirt Company. Still too high for me I am having to build a machine shop. :|

Shockingly yes you did. Cheaper Than Dirt has them for $455, and Gunbroker.com has them for low to mid $500 range.

We all have our own personal preferences, and when it comes to Ruger .22's here is what I like.

Ruger 1022 DSP 2009 vintage; the DSP has the nice walnut stock. Mine is wearing a Nikon 3 - 9x Prostaff
