gunto restoration
my very generous friend gave me a katana today. it will be my latest restoration project and I am very excited about it. I'm gonna post pics here at various stages of completion. wish me luck.

so I never did get the camera working... but I started work anyways.
I belt sanded the edge down and the sides to take the nicks out of the blade. so far so good. and I've begun sanding. it's shiny now. not very, but a little and there's not as much rust. I also twisted the blade a little to straighten it out. it's looking good. but I still have a long ways to go.
