Waya,
Before the "purists" jump on you and insist that it's .45 Colt NOT .45 Long Colt, I saw a box of wax bullet cartridges for fast-draw practice that was sold by Colt Industries and it said .45 Long Colt on the box. So the experts
can take a hike, you're right since Colt itself called it the .45 long Colt.
[Among Gun enthusiasts this topic always gets an argument started].

THE 410 SHOOTS A .45 LONG LONG COLT WHICH IS DIFFERENT THAN A COLT .45 FYI:)

There is .45 [Long] Colt, and .45 ACP [Auto Colt Pistol]. Colt 45 could be either [usually it refers to the gun chambered for one or the other]. The Derringers that shoot .45 Colt and .410s have a long chamber to allow the .410 to fit. There are several other .45s that are less well known, and one almost as famous the two Colts the .45-70. [The .45 Colt vs .45 Long Colt debate will outlive all of us, you start less arguments if you say .45 Colt].
