I just received two new 9" F.B. Picklocks, a stag and a blonde, in today's mail from Bernie. I'm impressed with them. The metal work, polish and fit is very good. I especially like the thicker brass liners, the lined ears and the nickle silver bolsters. Both knives are perfectly straight and have nice snap. The quality and finish of the scales is also top notch. I read an earlier comment that they're a little expensive. For this knid of quality and for the first run of 9" picklocks with vintage features to come out of Italy since the 1950s I think they're a good deal. All The Best, JB

I've been seriously thinking about getting one of these. Are the blades sharper than a regular FB 9" swivel bolster? Any play?
Also, I've heard Frank B is thinking of starting display packaging...do these have a box?

Hi all,
Just wanted to let those of you who are thinking about grabbing one of the new 9" FB picklocks that I just got one with stag scales and a Kriss blade. Shades of fifty years ago! I'll be giving this one to a grandson in about twenty years and he to his. Mine is that well made. Soldered bolsters, thick brass liners, tight lockup, straight in the handle, and a great heft. If mine is typical, and I can't believe that this kind of workmanship is the result of luck, then they are more than worth the price. Thanks Metalgod for helping to make this happen!
