Having had it this long (well over a week) you SURELY must qualify for the "Self-injury" thread ....no??.........or have you broken it again? :D

It'd be nice if it was both.....but the odds are against it...

J-man,

Wait a second, let me check...............my right thumb, the one that pushes the button, is resting comfortably on my right hand - exactly where I expected to find it. Thank you for asking. 8)

The SECOND spring just broke on my Godfather.
I wish the knife had a little counter on it so I could get some idea how many clicks it takes before it busts.

Mr. Falcon,

In the new spirit of "no personal attacks" I am going to keep my usual smart-ass comments to myself...

Falcon,

This time, make certain that ProTech puts in a metal spring.

This, then, is probably indicative of a problem with the knife body,
and how it houses the spring. Is it possible to get Protech to
replace the entire knife? It seems like that is your best alternative.

I was ready to buy one, but after reading about your adventures
in broken knifedom, I think I'll look elsewhere.

I wish you better fortune, and quick knife replacement.

Gort,

I think that eschewing Godfather ownership based on The Falcon's experiences is a hasty decision. There are many, many more of us that own Godfathers that have never had anything like the bad luck that The Falcon has had. Ask Waya - he's got zillions of them, apparently. I have two and neither have ever malfunctioned. They are really great knives, IMHO the best US-made neo-stiletto knives available to addicts like you and me today. Come on - be a courageous alien robot!
