fingerprints?

hey you switchblade sellers, if you test your knives, do you worry about fingerprints? My wife brought this up and it set me to thinking
(ouch that hurts)

Only to the extent that if not wiped off they can cause rusting.

wouldnt the oils from the fingerprint actally help fight the effects of moisture?

The oils in fingerprints contain a high level of salts. That's why everyone
who owns a Gun Shop spends time after they close wiping the guns with
a oiled cloth.
Blood is even worse, it's sure to cause rusting on anything that will rust.
