Anyone know about this OTF?
Here's an OTF I've had for probably about 15 years or so, give or take. No memory of purchasing it whatsoever. It has absolutely no markings of any kind. Any of you guys recognize it?

Not an expeet on these Luke, but it has the look of a "Guardian otf ",possibly a clone of one ?
I like the look of it and the blade grind ,someone will know i'm sure.

I like the blade grind as well, Ian. It's got a business like look to my eye. The side slide keeps it slim and very carry -friendly.

Thanks, Bill! That makes two Microtech clones I have, then.
Re: Anyone know about this OTF?
Is this the same knife? I have seen them in many colors. Mine is blue. It opens and closes very strongly.
Re: Anyone know about this OTF?
Yours is very similar, prober, but I see "Lightning" on the blade. I believe you have a Lightning OTF. Mine has no markings anywhere. A difference I spot is your pocket clip is to one side of the handle and mine is centered. Your front end is slanted and mine is straight across. Other than that, quite alike.
Re: Anyone know about this OTF?
The lightning is made in a few Asian countries and sells for $20-30 with different blades shapes and handle colors. They are cheap knives with crap steel that stays sharp. I know of two NYPD officers that have carried ones bought from Stu711 15 years ago, they still work like new...lol...Sometimes you can beat those cheap knives! Since they are not miss marked with another company name I feel they are copies and not counterfeits...
Re: Anyone know about this OTF?
I'll say this: Those Taiwan made Lightning OTFs are pretty sturdy knives. We've seen videos of those stabbing steel barrels and hammered into tree stumps and still function perfectly. I've got one and surely didn't mind the $25 cost!Tom19176 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 10:40 am The lightning is made in a few Asian countries and sells for $20-30 with different blades shapes and handle colors. It looks a lot like a Lightning, but the clip is beefier, and the newest one's have "LIGHTING" on the blades, could be because of the age difference.
