WOW!!, what you have is a very rear old Italian Stiletto picklock switchblade from the 1950s, with a very desirable tang stamp, it needs a very light cleaning, I my self would not attempt to do anything to it, you could send it out to a professional to have it done, looks to be a 8" or 9" size, as for value, it is all about what someone is willing to pay, good luck, and glad to have you here.

Awesome knife!
What needs to be restored?
It looks like all it could use is a good cleaning. Use a high quality metal polish, neutral shoe polish on the scales and a drop of Quick Release oil.

Be very careful about who you send it to.

Bill is correct, you don't have to look far in these pages to find examples of very bad repairs or restorations. My criteria would be someone who has experience successfully working on antique picklocks like yours. You have a fine example and it would be a shame to have it damaged in the name of a repair.

By the way, there are none better than Bill, and his prices are very fair. He does museum quality work. The issue might be whether he has availability. Whatever you do or don't do, you found a picklock with a tang stamp that we all know exists, but don't see very often.

I would think $750 would be the max.

I'll second that, you'll be very happy with Bill's work.

Yes, he is overseas, so I won't be working on the knife.
