Hi Ian,
I think it’s snake wood, but I’ve been wrong on the past.

Boots can you tell us what type of is scale material is on the knife?
Yes, it has Snake Wood scales. The quality isn't exactly what you'd find in a Latama but this thing snaps to attention quicker than the 9" latamas that I have. Sorry for the amateur pictures but I'm an amateur so there it is. Oh, by the way this special addition is well worth the $292.00 I paid. :D

Good looking knives. What's the thickness on these new picklocks and swivel bolster 9"? Are they the full 5mm like a Walt's?

Not quite, a bit smaller than the Latama coming in at 0.145" 3.68mm.

I snagged the Brazilian horn, and it is a stunning knife- I had been wanting to add a picklock and this is sure the way to go. I would urge you all that are pretty interested, to maybe go ahead and get one while you can. They are well worth the $300 price tag. I don't believe I have ever had another 9" switch that was this tight and classy. -

It is supposedly a limited run, and I just didn't want to miss out -

Same here, they're getting hard to find. Just ordered one with B/W horn.
