OKCA Eugene OR Show Finds

Post by Highspeedsteel »

Found a couple nice ones today at the OKCA show in Eugene OR...

25cm Colt CEM fish with a bail and a 23cm Mauro Mario kris blade. I had to do some searching through the old forums to find other examples of MM kris knives and I almost did a backflip when I saw the CEM. Lucked out that both have excellent blades. Great day!

I'd call that show a major success - very nice! Both are quite uncommon models.

I remember 10 - 15 years ago the two main shows for we switchblade folks were Atlanta on the East Coast and Eugene on the West Coast. There were others but these had the largest switchblade presence. I know things have changed a bit in the East. Is the Eugene show still the one with the largest switchblade presence in the West?

Mr. Jim D,

Probably. What makes the Eugene show more attractive, is the gun show next door. Skipped this one, but plan to be there next year.

Mr. HighSpeed Steel,

Nice score. Bet you were the first in line when they opened the doors!

Best regards,

Bonz

Thank you my friend!
The Colt. CEM was at Florida Bob's table and the MM Kris came from a cool dude who was walking the show with a roll in hand, from California... he had a dead MINT Edwin Jay 14cm blue shell wrap with the original wrapper for a fairly reasonable price but I was already broke as a joke and could barely afford the cheeseburger I got on the way out LOL

I have seen a Mauser fish with a bail as well as this Montreal ITALY stamped 25cm fish I got a couple months back with bails, but I agree, not that common and haven't seen any others. I wonder if they were all produced by the same company

Here are a couple Mauro Mario's I found. The kris are pretty scarce.
