Has anybody seen these yet? I just got one. It’s pretty nice. Similar quality to those AKC Massaro knockoffs. They’re modeled after the Hubertus Guardian. They’re similar to that Guardian clone with the faux stag, file work and fake Hubertus markings, but these don’t have any markings and have the nail nick which is common on a lot of Chinese autos. The handles are also more rounded and the backspring is file worked.

No markings, they must have broke the Bill DeShivs stamp.

I am impressed! Did the Chinese hire Italians to make those knives?
Is the second knife down from the top, is it steel that has been gold/brass plated?

Hmmmph. And a nail nick. I would guess that they must use the same blades in non autos as well, I mean why would there be a nail knick? I would sort of like to see one in person but seriously doubt that I will ever own one.

Re: New Chinese Swinguard Leverlocks
I feel like they put the nail nick on these things as a back-up for people in case the spring breaks so they can open the knife up like a two-handed button lock.Markco the Mad otter wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 9:54 pm Hmmmph. Another 2:00am Night owl . . . .
I Gotta make coffee in 3 hours, boil some eggs. . .
Waiting for the laundry to get done. . .washing rubberized bed sheets.
Sitting under the bathroom vent fan,
stirring my bowl with a 5 inch manual folder stiletto, mangled to gravity flick open.
Mangled Italians are still way better than Chinese Clones that spring.

Re: New Chinese Swinguard Leverlocks
I have a couple manual Italians....and several Japanese, you like the Japs any better than the Chinese? Linda weird I was rooting around in an old antique type store in Western Pa., came across a small hoard of manual stilettos. There were three 13" and then a few smaller ones, a couple of fixed blades, one made out of a horse shoe and the other short stubby one w/ a sheath that doesn't quite fit Damascus. Oh and there was an old manual Italian Piclock. sits so deep that once I got it open I stuck some paper under the blade so I wouldn't have to fight with it to get it open. suppose that if my finger nails were a little longer maybe I would have had a better chance. hmmm sorry, I didn't intend to attempt to high jack this thread or write a book.jerryk25 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 13, 2023 7:13 am Another 2:00am Night owl . . . .
