Custom switchblade

Post by KrisNZ »

Hi all,
After two weeks of obsessively checking Tracking details, my Custom 9inch picklock has finally arrived,

Stainless bolster, O1 blade and spring and African Blackwood. I've plenty of work in progress stuff I can post If anyone's interested.

Cheers Kris,

That's a sweet looker brother! Who made it, I've seen that stamp in one of the FB groups.

I was messaging with a guy in Pakistan who's cranking out some pieces that are pretty unique looking, just to see what his prices were like. He said he could do a 9 inch picklock in horn for 230 USD.

I was tempted but currently am still investing all my kids' college funds into every Italian knife on my want list that I come across. I have this fear, somewhat confirmed, that the market's going lean. :(

So maybe some day.

Nevertheless, that thing looks pretty serious. I'm curious as to about much you think it weighs?

This was made by a 17 year old kid! He is great! Liam Clark. He is an amazing knife maker for any age!

Love that blade shape.
What are those three subtle brass-y looking circles on the bolster?

Very impressive!

I'd say you got a good deal. For that amount of work I think he should be charging more.

It was his first commissioned piece, all others he'd made then sold them,

He knocks these out in day ir two in between school, totally self taught the kid's a Switchblade freak
