White nato/Super auto OTF knife

Does anyone know what nato/super automatic 3 bolt style knife was used in the original Stephen kings "Sometimes They Come Back" movie? I've been trying to find whatever I can on this knife coming up with absolutely nothing. Looks like the botled super automatic OTF but it's white and has some design on the handle. Closest pictures are attached.

Not exactly the same, but I believe the re-make of "12 Angry Men" used a white OTF with a black scorpion design on it. I don't currently have a picture.

It certainly looks like the knife in Sometimes They Come Back might have a scorpion motif on the handle.

Here are some pics from the remake of Twelve Angry Men.

But "Sometimes" was made in 1991, and the "Twelve" remake was 1997. So if it's the same knife, then it was a modified prop originally made for "Sometimes" and then modified again for "Twelve" (scorpion painted black).

It also appears that the switch in "Sometimes" is white. It's possible that they painted it white for "Sometimes", and that for "Twelve" it was either painted black or switched back to black.

I wonder if the knife in "Sometimes" was specifically described in Kings short story, and maybe the producers wanted an accurate prop. But it seems like a lot of trouble to go through to have custom handle scales made and then take the knife apart to switch them out.

Also, there were two identical knives in "Twelve", so I'm guessing if it's the same knife in both movies that they made extras for "Sometimes". But again, that seems like a lot of effort to go through.

In any event, I guess this will remain yet another switchblade mystery.

So did the maker of NATO OTF's ever produce a knife with scorpions on the handles, or were they custom made by some prop department?

And if they were custom made, were they made specifically for "Sometimes They Come Back" (1991), since that movie was made 6 years before the "12 Angry Men" remake with Jack Lemmon (1997). Unless they were made even earlier than 1991 for some other movie and they were sitting around a prop department.

If they did produce such knives with original scorpion handles then they must be very rare. I've never seen or heard of any before and I can't find mention or picture of any others online (except from "12 Angry Men").

I doubt very seriously that they were ever made with scorpions on the handles. These were Hollywood props.

I think those sclaes are a work of a prop maker. Movie props are often heavily modified.
