Pig sticker, the lever just unlocks the blade.

Era, I’m guessing 1950s. It’s basically a folding bowie knife. I had a Coricama back in 2012
Like Sammy said it’s they’re known as pig stickers.

Appears to have stuck a whole lot of pigs in it's day! Looks to be older than Santa Claus. Kinda cool though, probably a lot of history to it, if it could only talk.

Pretty cool john! Nice pig sticker.,the button is just to unlock it isn't it? I was taught these were skinners,so you could use it in the closed poster to have better control of the blade,.wile your hands are covered In whatever

The lever is only used to open the blade. I wish it was an auto, but it’s not. I sold it along time ago.

Seems like I have heard of a few of them having springs.

Hi Terry,
I wonder if they were modified. I’ve never seen one, but I haven’t been collecting as long as you.

You are probably right about being modified. I have never seen a pic of the blade well to see iif it vould be feasable.

I’m thinking a coil spring plus a regular stiletto style spring would make that huge blade fly open.

Probably would have to be a leaf spring off of a S10 pickup truck.
