New, old job.....maybe.

Post by djones »

I may be going back to work at the knife shop part time. My old boss can't get anyone to run his milling machines and asked me to help. Most of his work is by hand, but he does need some milled parts. I did enjoy that job. Wish me luck.
I am 70 and mostly retired but do some Autocad work. I am not a blade smith, but am comfortable around computers and machinery. And I do love to be around knives. This is Painted Pony knives. by the way.

It's a beautiful thing going to work and loving one's job. I was extremely fortunate to retire after 25yrs of running my own business.

It’s good to keep yourself busy and you’ll have a few extra dollars to buy knives with. :)

Thanks everybody.
I will see my old boss tomorrow and see if we can work it out.
I think he might have an order that he can't make without getting those mills working or he would not have called me. That does not matter to me, except that being needed feels pretty good. And my hands still work, but nothing works like it used too.
