Hola friends
I ventured into the Russian knives and I got these mechanisms that I don't know what to call. The trigger is connected to a piece of metal that holds the tip of the blade in the closed position. It is awkward to close. But these knives will never peek.
Do 'we' have a name for this? I like 'TipLock'. Anyone care to chime in?
Bruce

Well, we'll see if the name sticks.. Tip lock
Tip referring to "tip of the Blade" being captured.
The basic entomology of the device (what kind of bug is it ?) is similar to a Pull-Ball or Cumosa,
in that it has a "letter C" spacer plate between the liners, under the bottom bolster that slides down to expose the blade.
The two examples show a straight steel bar connecting a sliding button to the "capture plate."
