Help Identifying a Knife

Has anyone seen a knife like this or have any idea where it was made or who made it? No tang stamp or mark of any sort. Interesting that is has a nail nick. It's built like a tank. Thanks.

I can’t help but I like it a lot. Is it a 9”? Are the scales ebony?

It's just about 8.25". I believe the scales are Ebony.
