Re: More love for cheap switchblades
It seems PVK.Vegas is now selling those Russian-style “Roma” swinguards with the AKC stamp. We already determined that these are Chinese and not Italian, right? https://www.pvk.vegas/Classic-Italian-A ... -s/327.htm

$135 is a hell of a mark up. No wonder people are shopping at DHGate. If you're gonna be bent over best to do it on the cheap.

Arizona Customs was selling those fake AKC "Roma's" for $195 .sammy the blade wrote: ↑Thu Sep 15, 2022 2:42 pm $135 is a hell of a mark up. No wonder people are shopping at DHGate. If you're gonna be bent over best to do it on the cheap.
It's nice to see that they care more about their reputation than about making a few more dollars (like I mentioned before, they removed them from their site after being informed they were fakes).
It wouldn't surprise me if some of the stilettos marked AKC that they have sold or are selling might be fakes, but not being able to prove it I didn't say anything to them about those.
As far as PVK, I see that they are also selling the Mago OTF's as genuine Italian knives. Has it been determined if any of those are made in Italy, or are they all Chinese? I see some are marked "Made in Italy". I ask only out of curiosity, not an interest in buying any.
I hate to say it, but since PVK is now selling Chinese fakes with fake branding as the real thing, I can't help but question the authenticity of their other knives. After all, there are a lot of fake Chinese switchblades out there, like counterfeit Microtechs for example.

Re: More love for cheap switchblades
The Magos are 100% made in China. The made in Italy ones are 100% china made
Re: More love for cheap switchblades
Thanks Tom, I figured that was likely the case.
I guess the days are over when fakes and counterfeits were relegated to sites that were known to be unreliable. What a shame that PVK joins the ranks of Grindworx, ebay, amazon, etc. Another one bites the dust.

Re: More love for cheap switchblades
You're welcome. My dealer friend gets them directly from China and they are marked Made in Italy and the box they come in has a China sticker on them. There is a dealer on FB who is saying the blades are sent to him from Italy and the handles from China and he puts them together in the US.....Same markings and grinds on the blades as the ones fully assembled direct from China....Sad.

It is sad, people will buy these things regardless where they are made. Just another way to get more money from people who think they are made in Italy. No better than the bandits in China, the power of a buck and they're probably laughing all the way to the bank. I'm not much but I'm not a thief, the people selling this stuff I'm sure know where they come from which in my opinion is blatant false advertising! My opinion it's thievery.

Sammy I totally agree. If everyone saw it that way they would change.....
