Just returned from the flea...... picked up this 11” Beltrame. Seller identified the non-reflective finish as Cerakote.
I've always just referred to all such coatings as "Teflon" but this made me realize that I should start learning how to
tell the difference between the different coatings. But - - - how? Is there any reasonably easy and dependable
method to distinguish Cerakote from Teflon from DLC from .....whatever else is out there....???
(Bought the Leatherman Wave from another seller; unfortunately it has mangled wire cutters.
Looks like somebody spent five years cutting through nails with them. They can't be replaced as with
the later Wave -- this is the early "patent pending" model that lacks the replaceable wire cutters.
However, I couldn’t pass them up for a mere dollar.... )

Re: Non-Reflective Coatings
Probably worth the postage to send into LeatherMan and play dumb.
