Great looking piece!

Some years ago, I too was blessed with a toolbox find. It was not a Latama but a good ol' American springer...

Hence forth, I will be inventorying every toolbox I find whenever I come across one! Also checking local newspapers for yard sales!!

In all seriousness, that's a good piece of luck, both for you and the knife. Now it can be in a much healthier environment and be properly cared for.
