Vintage "EIG" pick locks
These EIG picklocks seem to be easy to find. I am thinking they are worth around $1,100 to $ 800. What do you think? P

Re: Vintage "EIG" pick locks
I have a 7inch EIG that Was reconditioned by DeShivs. I want to value it at as least $500.
The EIG Logo is not in an oval.
I would think 800 for an 11 inch is not unreasonable.
If someone wants it bad enough, they might pay 1300 for a 13inch, it looks nice enough.
It's a question of whether the economy is good,
But you know, some people who frequent knife shows might say, "I can get a better deal elsewhere."

Peiper ~ Nice knives! They look like 11" and 13" ..... is this correct?
And a general question to everybody.... if an "easy to find" knife is priced fairly in the
thousand-dollar ballpark, what's the value of a knife that is considered HARD to find...?

Yeah, but that seems more like "impossible to find" -- on a scale of 1 to 10 it's probably about a 9.75 or something....
Assuming that an ordinary 9" Latama in average condition is a 3 on the scale of easy-to-hard discovery of vintage knives (with an unbranded INOX being a 2, and a wobbly Rizzuto being a 1) what would you expect to pay for something around a 7 or 8? I realize this is a wildly subjective and non-specific inquiry -- I'm just trying to get some kind of handle on the market, because values often seem to be all over the place.
