17cm Latama "wasp" flat guard

Post by big_slim »

Here is one I just got. I don't have any of my switchblade books handy, but I'm guessing it's maybe from the late 40's.

I am going to say late 1940s, very nice find, and nice size.

Everything about both knives is super cool.
Nice shaped lock-tab, nice long false edge, nice wasp waist.
Super big button, blade sear hole ramp, older tang stamp.
The blade is pretty much near full, maybe 98% . . .? ? ?

and it's a Flat guard.

.

slim ~ as everyone else says, a great find..... is that sear hole drilled all the way through the blade, as it appears?
How often was this done in the Italian stilettos of that era? It seems pretty unusual.....
