Hi Folks:
When I was active in purchasing modern Italian switchblades (back around 2010-2014) camel bone scales were being made and circulating. Having only recently started looking at the online sites I find today, camel bone doesn't seem at all common. What happened that the craftsmen appear to have discontinued using that scale material? Or am I just not looking in the right places? Thanks
Chuck

Camel bone is still available, but it's very hard and difficult to work.
Also, it's used on a lot of cheaper Pakistani knives which gives it a "cheap" flavor.
