Identification of old Italian switchblade.

Post by Theowlhoothoot »

My grandpa go this while in the Navy drinking and playing poker with the Italian police. They apparently took it off a pickpocketer and gave it to him.

Anyone have more information about it? It still works very well.

The markings appear to be Fludhoris Frosslone.

I dunno about anyone else, but I just get a blank page.

How about posting the photo(s) HERE, instead of another site....?

That's a great knife. It sounds like a pickpocket took it off another pickpocket and then lost it gambling.

It's an old (probably 30s or 40s) Frosolone. That one is about 7", right?

There were a few variations of it but they were all basically all pretty similar to that. Here are a few I have.

Thanks for the pictures. I was able to find a lot that looked like it but the stamp on mine was what threw me off so much. Other than that it looks very similar and it is around 7".

Is there anything you don't have. You continuously amaze me with the knives you come up with.

Yes, I do not have the no-holes brass handle Pakistani butterfly which I have been looking for since my first post on this site.

It looked exactly like that but instead of the inserts in had the solid brass handle. The more common one was the one with holds in the handle but there was also a version with no holes in the handle. That is the one I am looking for.

Still looking for that solid brass pakistan lol? I've been keeping my eyes open for one over the past couple years and I've found multiple variants but not the solid brass one.

Ok! I never seen one like that either, must be a very rare variant! Good luck finding one!

Here are the three models without the inserts. I used to see them all the time when I was a kid and now I can't find the no holes one. Actually, I would also like to find the steel one.
