Inossdabile Italy

Post by Billyfish »

Stamped on the blade of an 8 3/4" kriss from AIK; other side is larger letters, stiletto; very light strikes on both stamps.
Must mean stainless, yes?

Spelled "inossidabile", literally means non oxidizable. So stainless steel is correct. Don't see that very often.

Thanks for the confirmation and sorry for the poor spelling, that stamp is so lightly struck it's near impossible to read even with a magnifying glass.

I have a couple of stilettos I bought in the early 90s that have that stamp, and I agree it is not a common stamp.

Good to know. I got one of the exact same knifes (I think so based on your description). I finally got something that is not 100% common!!
