Unique (?) Hubertus
Picked this up today. Hubertus with a "fish bonker" on it. Anyone else have one? If so, how strong is the scaler/bonker supposed to open? I think this is an older one based on the blade stamp, but I am still new at this. If anyone has any additional info or insight, please share. I just thought it was pretty cool and that I would post it for others to see.

Re: Unique (?) Hubertus
Thanks for sharing, you are correct in that it the "fish bonker" model. Given the W etch it is an older model. I wouldn't call it unique as it was a production item, but not a high volume model. Coupled with the W etch, consider it a good find.

Thanks for the info. I was not sure how common it is. I just grabbed it because it caught my eye.
Re: Unique (?) Hubertus
Blade is manual, bonker is auto. Mine does not “slam” open, but that might be the design (due to the club weight), I am not sure. It kinda kicks about half way out.

OK, now I remember. Been a long time since anyone has shown one on the forums.

Re: Unique (?) Hubertus
I have never played with one of those but I would imagine that is normal. A part that long with that much weight at the top is going to need a spring much more powerful than the normal type.

Wondering if a experienced cutler could reverse the blades???
Re: Unique (?) Hubertus
Here is one that I owned. They sure are hefty but they don't spring open very hard.
